Inheritance and Legacy
Carrying on God's work beyond life
You have the opportunity to remember Pfimi Bern (Pentecostal Church Bern) in your will. In addition to providing for your family, you can help ensure that God's kingdom continues to grow after your lifetime by leaving a legacy to Pfimi Bern. If you would like to include Pfimi Bern in your will, we would be happy to offer you a personal, non-binding consultation. This will allow you to discuss your wishes and concerns with us in peace.
TESTAMENT
In a will, you can determine how your assets are distributed after your death - in addition to the statutory compulsory portions. If there are no close relatives or a will, the inheritance automatically goes to the state. A will is only valid if it is handwritten by yourself or notarized.
Handwritten will
A handwritten will is the simplest form. You write it in your own hand, legibly and sign it with the place and date. It should be clearly labeled "Will". The names and addresses of the persons or institutions you wish to benefit should be clearly stated.
Public will
If you are unable to write the will yourself, have it drawn up by an official person (e.g. a notary) in the presence of two witnesses who will document your will.
Determine heirs
In addition to the compulsory portions, you can also appoint other heirs in your will. These can be people or organizations.
Legacy / Bequest
A legacy or bequest is a special gift in a will. This can be a sum of money or a specific object (e.g. art, securities or real estate) that benefits a specific person or organization.
