Vision & Values

Vision & Values

Our values form the DNA of our church, what we believe and the way we act as Christians to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are a church that lives,
a community that moves
and a family that supports.

Integrative church service

Integrative church service

Every Sunday, people from all generations and different cultures come together in the Holenacker community center, at Pfimi Bern locations or online via livestream to meet God and celebrate him. An important part of our church services is the proclamation of God's word, the Bible. The children and young people meet for an age-appropriate and varied program, also with biblical teaching.

Integrative small groups

Integrative small groups

In addition to the Sunday services, our small groups are an important part of our personal life of faith. In these small groups, fellowship is experienced and shared to a greater extent than is possible on Sundays. Children up to and including teenagers find their small groups at the Royal Rangers every second Saturday in Bern and in Zollikofen. They are the place where they can cultivate and deepen friendships with other children from the church from an early age. Our young people meet on Friday evenings in the Youth Alive, where they also meet in small groups. Once a week, Pfimians from all generations and different cultural backgrounds meet in the houses, the pfimi@homes, to share life and grow in faith.

Our focus

The church service is the highlight of the week. As the people of God, we come together across generations and nations to listen to God and honor him.

We want to win people who attend our church services for God's kingdom and integrate them into the church through the small groups, the follow-up and the ministries.

We want to visibly celebrate the Christian holidays of Easter, Pentecost and Christmas as a community and thus preserve them as social values.

As a church, it is very important to us that people can get to know Jesus. That is why we want to be an inviting church. We extend this invitation with our children's weeks in the neighborhoods and regions and the Life Lounge, among other things.

The church pedagogy training courses, and in particular the BBS Academy Bible School, ensure that the next generation of teachers is available.

Every year, a Pfimi Family Holiday or a trip to Israel takes place alternately. The focus of both trips is community outside of everyday life. In our experience, these vacations have always led to new relationships and deepened existing relationships that are edifying for the community.

Core values

The core values help us to put the biblical guidelines of a church into practice.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in their midst. (Matthew 18:20)

And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." (Matthew 22:37)

But the second is like it: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself". (Matthew 22:39)

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (...) (Matthew 28:19)

(...) and teach them to observe all that I have commanded you! And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age. (Matthew 28:20)

We stand with Israel
Pray for peace for Jerusalem! May it be well with all who love you. (Psalm 122:6)
