Retirement Blessing

The transition from working life to retirement is a significant milestone. With the end of one’s working career comes the beginning of a new phase of life that brings changes, new challenges, and opportunities. Familiar routines fall away, new perspectives emerge—and some things must first find their place anew.As a congregation, we want to consciously place people under God’s blessing at this special moment. We believe that God’s calling and His faithfulness do not end with retirement. He remains the same God who accompanies, sustains, and guides us throughout our entire lives. The Bible reminds us that older people are a great blessing to the community. They bring life experience, testimonies of faith, wisdom, and foresight—valuable gifts that they can pass on to the next generation. The church thrives on the interaction between generations.Through the retirement blessing, we express our appreciation and pray for God’s guidance, strength, and joy in this new phase of life. At the same time, we encourage retirees to continue sharing their experiences and wisdom in the life of the congregation and with the people around them. For retirement is not the end of a calling, but the beginning of a new chapter guided by God.
